You don't have to carry it on your own
Individual counselling for adults and young people (11+) in the Peak District and online.
When life feels loud, it can be difficult to hear your own voice
Whatever you're carrying, I meet you where you are and walk alongside you - supporting you as you find your way back to yourself. You deserve to be heard and accepted exactly as you are.
Hello, I'm Sian
I am here to help you reconnect with yourself. I work from the simple truth that the most meaningful work begins in the moment you finally feel safe enough to be exactly who you are.
Because everyone deserves to be truly heard, I don't meet you as a problem to be solved, but as a person with a unique story that deserves to be held with care. Together, we can find the stillness you need to hear your own voice again.
More about my approach →Making sense of what feels difficult
Therapy offers the time and space to slow down - a chance to pause and reflect. We begin with what feels most important to you in the present, taking time to understand the experiences and relationships that have brought you to this point. Over time, greater awareness creates more choice; and with choice comes the possibility for change.
The pace is always yours. Our work evolves as you do.
How we can work together →Explore my services
I work with individuals navigating a range of specific life challenges - from anxiety, low mood and burnout, to relationship difficulties or long standing emotional struggles.
My role is to provide a thoughtful, reliable presence where you can untangle the things that feel heavy or unclear. We focus on the realities of your day-to-day life, allowing you to explore your experiences in a way that feels supportive, intentional, and entirely at your own pace.
I provide a warm, respectful environment for young people navigating the unique pressures of growing up - from the stress of school and exams, to the confusion surrounding a changing sense of self.
Sessions are shaped around how each young person naturally expresses themselves, incorporating creative or visual tools where helpful. My aim is to help them feel genuinely heard, supporting them to find their own sense of empowerment as they make sense of the world around them.
Online therapy offers the same relational depth as meeting in person, with the added flexibility of being in your own environment.
Using a secure and confidential platform, we can work together regardless of your location. This is often a supportive option for those with busy schedules or for anyone who finds the familiarity of home a more accessible place to begin.
Hello, I'm Sian
If you're here, you're probably asking yourself a few questions - who am I, what can I offer you, and whether counselling is the right next step.
As an integrative counsellor, I see therapy as a collaborative, evolving relationship built on trust, attunement, and compassion. I blend my clinical training with a deep commitment to showing up authentically, creating a respectful and flexible space where adults and young people (11+) can gently face difficult emotions. Together, we can navigate life's challenges and open up new possibilities for your long-term well-being - always moving at a pace that feels entirely safe for you.
Are we a good fit?
Finding room to breathe, face difficult emotions, and discover new possibilities within a supportive relationship.
People come to therapy for many reasons. For some, it looks like navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, or relationship difficulties; for others, it is simply a quiet sense that something isn't quite right. Alongside my general practice, I specialize in offering an accommodating, respectful space for neurodivergent minds, ensuring my approach is always responsive to your unique way of moving through the world.
To give you a sense of my practice and see if it aligns with what you need, these are the areas I bring particular depth to:
Neurodiversity+
Supporting those who identify as neurodivergent - or are exploring that possibility - to better understand their needs and strengths in a world not always designed for them.
Body image+
A space to explore your relationship with your body and sense of self, especially where criticism, comparison, or shame may have shaped how you see yourself.
Burnout & stress+
Supporting you to understand what has led to feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stretched beyond your limits, and to begin restoring a more sustainable way of living.
Trauma+
Working gently and at a pace that feels safe for you, to make sense of experiences that may still feel present, and to support a growing sense of safety and reconnection within yourself.
Attachment & relationships+
Exploring how your early relationships shape the way you connect with self and others, helping you develop a steadier sense of security within yourself.
Life transitions+
Offering support during periods of change - chosen or unexpected - when your sense of identity, direction, or stability may feel uncertain.

My values
Life is full of challenges and transitions that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to turn. The truth is, there's no clear roadmap for navigating these moments, and healing is rarely linear. It's a journey that asks us to slow down, face difficult emotions, confront painful wounds, and make space for change - one that can feel intimidating and vulnerable. Yet it is within vulnerability that we often find possibility; when we allow ourselves to be seen, courage, clarity, compassion, and connection can gently rise.
Taking the first step toward improved mental health can feel daunting, whether it's for you or for your child - which is why I'm intentional about creating a space that feels welcoming, compassionate, and free from judgment. Your therapeutic journey is shaped not only by training and techniques, but by the quality of the relationship we build together. I'm here to walk alongside you, offering a space where connection and understanding support meaningful change.
I see counselling as an evolving, client-centred relationship - one that grows over time through trust, attunement, and compassion. Alongside my training and experience, I bring my humanity into the work we do, informed by having been on both sides of the therapy couch and my ongoing commitment to growth and self-reflection. I believe therapy should be as unique as you are, which is why I take an integrative approach, shaping our work around your individual needs, experiences, and goals.
My goal is simple: to support you in working through the challenges standing between you and a more balanced, fulfilling life. Therapy isn't only about easing immediate distress; it's also about gently exploring the deeper patterns shaped by past experiences and how they continue to influence the present. With greater awareness comes the possibility for choice, change, and long-term well-being.

My services
Working with adults
I work with adults who are looking to better understand themselves and what they're experiencing. You might be navigating anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, trauma, or long-standing emotional or physical challenges. For some people, there is a clear reason for coming to therapy; for others, it's simply a sense that something needs attention.
Our work is collaborative and centred on what feels most important to you. We take time to explore what's happening in your life now, while also gently noticing how past experiences may be influencing the present. Rather than rushing toward solutions, therapy becomes a space for reflection and awareness, allowing change to emerge in a way that feels manageable.
This work is deeply relational - you are met with care, respect, and genuine curiosity about who you are and what you need, so the process can unfold in a way that feels supportive and intentional.
Working with young people (11+)
I also work with young people aged 11 and over, offering a space that feels warm, compassionate, and respectful of their experiences.
Young people come to counselling for many reasons - school pressures, anxiety, low mood, identity questions, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood.
Sessions are shaped around each young person's needs and how they naturally express themselves. Alongside conversation, I may incorporate creative or visual approaches to help them communicate in ways that feel more comfortable and less intimidating.
At the heart of this work is helping young people feel genuinely heard and understood, while supporting them to make sense of what they're carrying and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and the world around them.
Online sessions
Online therapy offers the same relational depth as meeting in person, with the added flexibility of being in your own environment. Using a secure, confidential platform, we can work together regardless of your location.
